Email notifications are sent multiple times to Blue Zone permit owners during the week of home football games.
Parking Alternatives
Special parking arrangements for the Elon, North Carolina and Florida State games will be announced prior to each game.
Duke vs UNC parking arrangements: Because Duke will present the Centennial concert on Friday night and play football on Saturday afternoon, rules for Blue Zone parking will be different. The Blue Zone must be clear of vehicles by 5:00pm Friday, Sept. 27. You may move your vehicle to parking lots at the H lot, Lewis Street and the GC lot beginning at 9:00am Friday, Sept. 27. Your Blue Zone hangtag permit will operate the gates in these locations. Please return your vehicle to the Blue Zone by 6am Monday, Sept. 30.

Saturday games: You may park your vehicle at the H lot, GC Lot or Lewis Street beginning at noon on Friday afternoons before games. Enter these lots from Anderson St. or Yearby Ave. Your Blue Zone permit will raise the entrance and exit gates at these lots. You must move your car out of the H lot before 6:00 a.m. Monday.
Unavailable Lots
Most West Campus parking lots are reserved for football parking. Parking in reserved lots may result in ticketing and towing. Please observe all signs placed at lots prior to special events.
Sanctions
Vehicles must be removed from the Blue Zone and all Iron Duke lots on weekend football game days and other posted times for weeknight games as follows:
- August 30, 2024 4:00pm
- September 14, 2024 11:00am
- September 27, 2024 5:00pm FRIDAY for the Centennial Concert.
- October 18, 2024 (Friday) 5:00pm
- October 26, 2024 11:00am
- November 23, 2024 11:00am
In accordance with the Duke event policy, vehicles not removed from, or returned to, the Blue Zone and Iron Duke lots within the required timelines, and vehicles parked in restricted areas will be fined a minimum of $270; $110 for the fine and $160 for towing. Subsequent violations during the academic year may result in suspension of parking privileges for one calendar year. For information about towed vehicles, call 919-684-7275.
