Inbound and Outbound Traffic Plan
Duke and Durham police have developed pregame and postgame maps to get people to and from available parking as quickly as possible. Officers will be positioned at access points to facilitate an efficient traffic flow. DOT message boards along the Durham Freeway, Hwy 15/501, and I-85 will provide suggested routes to campus based on up-to-the-minute traffic conditions. Additional parking information can be found on Duke Athletics' game day site.
Rideshare/Taxi Services Access
Rideshare and taxi services have a designated drop-off/pick-up location near Science Drive Visitor Lot three hours prior to kickoff. The drop-off/pick-up point must be accessed off of Science Dr. at Coach K Hwy/751 Hwy due to game day traffic restrictions. Services attempting to drop-off/pick-up at other locations near the stadium will be denied access and directed to this location.
For more information about traffic, parking and game day policies, visit the game day website.
Duke Permit Holder Lot Restrictions
Vehicles must be removed from the Blue Zone and all Iron Duke lots on weekend football game days and other posted times for weeknight games as follows:
In accordance with the Duke event policy, vehicles not removed from, or returned to, the Blue Zone and Iron Duke lots within the required timelines, and vehicles parked in restricted areas will be fined and towed. Subsequent violations during the academic year may result in suspension of parking privileges for one calendar year. For information about towed vehicles, call 919-684-7275.
Email notifications are sent multiple times to Blue Zone permit owners during the week of home football games.
Parking Alternatives: You may park your vehicle at the H lot, GC Lot or Lewis Street beginning at noon on Friday afternoons before games. Enter these lots from Anderson St. or Yearby Ave. Your Blue Zone permit will raise the entrance and exit gates at these lots. You must move your car out of the H lot before 6:00 a.m. Monday.
Unavailable Lots: Most West Campus parking lots are reserved for football parking. Parking in reserved lots may result in ticketing and towing. Please observe all signs placed at lots prior to special events.
