Advisories
Most Duke transit routes will be adjusted in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 20.
The following transit routes in service will be C1-East-West which will run on a holiday schedule from 6:30am to 11pm, the Swift Avenue Shuttle running from 7:10am to 8:50pm, the Lancaster Commons Shuttle running from 7:30am to 7:00pm, and LL-LaSalle Loop operating from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
Van Services, H1, H2 and PR1 will not operate on Jan. 20. Track Duke Transit buses on TransLoc.
Regular transit schedules will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Most Health System and University surface lots and garages will be available from 12:01am until midnight, Monday, Jan. 20, for Duke staff and students who own a valid Duke parking permit. Use your permit to enter and exit facilities and avoid parking in patient and visitor areas. Bryan Center Garage will not be available Sunday and Monday.
Duke’s Parking and Transportation Services offices at 302 Science Dr. (Science Dr. Garage) and Duke Clinic (Room 04230 Duke Clinic) will also be closed Jan. 20 and will resume regular hours Jan. 21
UPDATED January 17, 2025: The Downtown Shuttle will not operate Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of the Birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Service will resume Tuesday, Jan. 21.

UPDATED May 6, 2024: The Downtown Shuttle will operate throughout the summer Monday through Friday except for Memorial Day (May 27), Juneteenth (June 19) and July 4 (July 4).

UPDATED September 7: The Downtown Shuttle was involved in a minor accident this afternoon, so please expect delays. The shuttle service will be resumed as soon as the police report is completed.

UPDATED Sept. 29: The downtown shuttle plans to continue service as long as it is safe to do so. However, there could be weather delays or detours as needed based on road flooding. Passengers are encouraged to check Samsara(link is external) for real-time tracking and location of the shuttle.

PTS has installed a new version of TransLoc. In order to use DukeMobile to track PTS vehicles, you may need to load ver. 8.2.1 of the DukeMobile app.
Parking and Transportation Services offers single-day parking permits for faculty, staff and students. Permits are now available through the DukeMobile App or by visiting MyParking to purchase. Read this Duke Today article for more information.
Spin is adding a limited number of e-bikes on campus for its members, along with e-scooters. Riders must follow these guidelines:
- Scooters and e-bikes must be parked upright adjacent to a bicycle rack and not impede pedestrians. To find campus bike racks, view this map.
- The East Campus Quadrangle, Abele Quadrangle and Bryan Center Plaza, the Athletic Department campus and Sarah P. Duke Gardens, are dismount zones. Scooters and e-bikes may not be ridden in these areas.
- Scooters and e-bikes cannot be ridden or parked in University parking garages, residence halls or other University buildings.

Bikes Must Yield for Pedestrians
Bicyclists. please note that pedestrians have the right of way on campus. Yield to people walking and walk your bike when crowds are present. You must dismount in these areas.
