UPDATED November 14, 2023: The Downtown Shuttle will not operate on Thursday, Nov. 23 or Friday, Nov. 24, observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular service will resume Monday, Nov. 27.

UPDATED September 7: The Downtown Shuttle was involved in a minor accident this afternoon, so please expect delays. The shuttle service will be resumed as soon as the police report is completed.

UPDATED Sept. 29: The downtown shuttle plans to continue service as long as it is safe to do so. However, there could be weather delays or detours as needed based on road flooding. Passengers are encouraged to check Samsara(link is external) for real-time tracking and location of the shuttle.

UPDATED October 1, 2021: The downtown shuttle will operate on a normal schedule over fall break.

Beginning Monday, August 23, the School of Medicine and School of Engineering will sponsor shuttle service between the Duke campus and downtown Durham. The 14-passenger shuttle will operate from 7:30am until 6:30pm Monday through Friday on a 40-minute loop. You can track the shuttle on Samsara using these links in the morning and the afternoon.

This map provides designated locations for drop-offs and deliveries in the vicinity of Abele Quadrangle and other West Campus locations.
Due to high demand, sales of Science Drive Garage permits have been temporarily stopped. We are offering a limited number of permits to the Faculty Club lot, located across Cameron Blvd. and adjacent to Science Drive Garage. Also available for graduate students are Parking Garage 3 permits.
Please contact us to purchase a permit for one of these areas.
Bikes Must Yield for Pedestrians
Bicyclists. please note that pedestrians have the right of way on campus. Yield to people walking and walk your bike when crowds are present. You must dismount in these areas.
