Notifications

Permit holders must move all vehicles from the Blue Zone prior to large events in Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium, primarily football games. Signs are posted at the Blue Zone and reminder emails, including detailed instructions, are sent the week of each event. If an event occurs over a scheduled holiday, notifications may be sent earlier.

Duke vs Louisville, Thursday, Nov. 18

Similar to other home football games, you should move your vehicle to an alternate location.  Due to the high volume of traffic expected on campus by late afternoon, you should make every effort to move your vehicle from the Blue Zone to the Chemistry, Circuit or Smith Warehouse lots by 5:30 p.m.  If possible, return your vehicle to the Blue Zone by 10:00 a.m. Friday morning.  You may also  park in Science Drive Garage, levels 5 and above, beginning after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.  Enter the garage from Cameron Blvd.  Your permit will operate the gates.

Parking Alternatives

You may park your vehicle at the H lot at the intersection of Anderson St. and Yearby Ave. beginning at 1:00 p.m on Friday afternoons before games or the Smith Warehouse South lot on Maxwell Ave. beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoons before games.  Your Blue Zone permit will raise the entrance and exit gates at the H lot and at the Smith Warehouse lot.  You must move your car out of the H lot and the Smith lot before 6:00 a.m. Monday.

Unavailable Lots

Most West Campus parking lots are reserved for football parking.  Parking in reserved lots may result in ticketing and towing.

Sanctions

Vehicles must be removed from the Blue Zone and all Iron Duke lots by 6 a.m. on weekend football game days and other posted times for weeknight games. In accordance with the Duke event policy, vehicles not removed from, or returned to, the Blue Zone and Iron Duke lots within the required timelines, and vehicles parked in restricted areas will be fined $230; $100 for the fine and $130 for towing. Subsequent violations during the academic year may result in suspension of parking privileges for one calendar year. For information about towed vehicles, call 919-613-0112 between 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on football Saturdays.
