You Don't Need a Car!
Why bring a car to campus when you have access to Zipcar? Zipcar provides Duke students with a convenient and eco-friendly way to get around – whether it's running errands, driving around campus or taking a road trip.
All students enrolled in classes for the fall semester are eligible to purchase and receive a parking permit for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Annual parking permits are sold based on residence location and space availability in lots or zones. By securing a permit early prior to arriving at Duke in August, you are guaranteed a space in the zone or lot designated by your permit.
Students with a 2009 spring or summer expected graduation date will not be eligible to purchase a permit for next academic year. Expected graduation dates are provided to PTS by the Registrar's Office. Students whose expected graduation dates have recently changed should contact the Registrar's Office to confirm accurate information is maintained on file.
Living Off-Campus?
Exciting benefits, including preferred parking locations and free permits, are available for commuting undergraduates who carpool. Learn more about the carpool program here.
On-line registration ended July 31. If you decide to bring a vehicle to Duke during the year and permits are available at that time, you may buy your permit by visiting the PTS office near Research Drive.
