Traffic advisory: Limited parking, traffic expected over Reunion weekend

Parking and Transportation Services is encouraging visitors and members of the Duke community to allow extra time to park and get around campus April 8-10 due to Duke Reunions.

Duke will not close campus roads but is setting aside parking for visitors, faculty, staff and Duke alumni. Parking attendants will be on campus to assist with the flow of traffic and answer questions. Members of the public and Duke community are encouraged to review parking locations to plan accordingly over the weekend.

Special events and tours begin the morning of Friday, April 8. Saturday, April 9 will feature several events that may increase traffic:

•    10:30 a.m. - “Issues and Answers”  with President Richard H. Brodhead in Page Auditorium.

•    12 p.m. - The women’s tennis team will host a match against Clemson University at the Ambler Tennis Stadium.

•    2 p.m. – Author Barbara Kingsolver will receive the Nicholas School of the Environment’s LEAF Award in the Griffith Film Theater in the Bryan Center.

•    7 p.m. - The weekend’s Reunion Gala will take place near Wallace Wade Stadium.
