March 04, 2011Motorists traveling along Campus Drive by Duke’s West Campus should allow for extra travel time next week while crews perform construction to fix cracks in the pavement and fill potholes.

Weather permitting, work will be performed from about 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 7 to 11 and will take place within 200 feet of where Campus Drive meets the roundabout that connects Flowers, Campus, Chapel and Wannamaker drives. Some limited construction will take place on the roundabout itself. Construction and traffic control will be handled by the contractor, Mid-Atlantic Construction.

During road work, one lane of travel will be open at all times for traffic to move through the work zone. Staff will be provided by Mid-Atlantic to direct traffic. Mid-Atlantic will also be doing road repairs on Lemur Lane during the same time period.
