Bull City Connector expands morning service

December 23, 2010Beginning Jan. 3, the operating hours of the fare-free Bull City Connector will be adjusted, enabling commuters to Duke Medical Center to arrive before 7 a.m.

Westbound trips on the Connector will begin one hour earlier with the first departure from Golden Belt at 6:22 a.m. and from Durham Station at 6:31 a.m., bringing the bus into the medical center stop at Flowers and Trent drives at 6:45 a.m.  Eastbound trips will begin 15 minutes earlier from the medical center stop.

The Bull City Connector began in August 2010, and as of mid-December, more than 100,000 passengers have used the service that connects downtown Durham with the Duke University campus and medical facilities.

Several bus stops have also been added since the service began to improve the convenience of the service.  Updates to schedules and bus stop locations will be posted soon on the Bull City Connector website.
