Halloween prompts change to Robertson bus schedule Oct. 31

October 26, 2010Due to the thousands of people expected in downtown Chapel Hill this Sunday for Halloween, the schedule for the Robertson Scholars Express Bus will be adjusted the evening of Sunday, Oct. 31 .

The last stop for the bus in Chapel Hill will take place at 6 p.m. before returning to Duke at 6:30 p.m. as its last run on Sunday. The bus will resume a normal schedule Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. with stops every 30 minutes.

As part of Chapel Hill’s annual Homegrown Halloween event, several downtown streets will be closed, prohibiting the Robertson bus from making a full run. There will be restricted access to downtown, parking will not be available and Franklin Street won’t be reopened until close to midnight.

The Robertson Scholars Express Bus is free to members of both the Duke and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill communities. It stops at the Chapel Drive circle on West Campus and the Morehead Planetarium at UNC-Chapel hill.
