Traffic advisory Saturday: Menâ€™s basketball game and ESPNâ€™s GameDay
Visitors to Duke’s West Campus should allow for extra travel time to get to and around campus Saturday, March 6, when the Duke men’s basketball team plays University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in a rivalry game televised by ESPN.
The TV sports network will host its weekly basketball show, “College GameDay,” live from Cameron Indoor Stadium Saturday morning. The event is free and open to the public with doors opening to the stadium at 9:30 a.m. The public entrance into the event will be from the South Hall of Honor, while undergraduate and graduate students will enter from the North Lobby next to Krzyzewskiville.
Parking will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. in all lots with the exception of the Public Policy Lot, which sits between Rubenstein Hall and Cameron Indoor Stadium. Parking will be free except for Parking Garage IV (PGIV) next to the Bryan Center. Visitors will be charged $5 per vehicle to park in PGIV. Duke employees can park for free in PGIV with a valid parking pass.
Following GameDay, all cars must be removed by 2 p.m. from designated basketball parking lots as well as Edens B and C or they will be towed. There will be a $5 charge per vehicle in all public lots for the basketball game after 2 p.m.
