Deadline to display new parking permits extended
Due to delays in processing new parking permits, the date to begin displaying 2009-10 permits has been extended through Aug. 31.
The extension will allow customers additional time to obtain and replace permits originally set to expire on Aug.15.
Duke Parking & Transportation officials encourage customers who have not received new permits to go to the department’s website to check whether a new permit has been assigned. To do so on the site, select "Forms & Applications," then "Manage My Parking Account." If a new permit is not displayed, please visit the Parking office at 0100 Facilities Center on Coal Pile Drive to get a permit.
In addition, customers are asked to review their mailing address to ensure the permit was mailed to the correct location. Permits mailed to an invalid address have been returned to the Parking office but can be mailed to a different address upon request.
Permits for customers who participate in a carpool or rideshare program are being processed; permits for Reserved, House Staff and Flowers Drive customers are in the mail.
For more information, send e-mail to Parking & Transportation or call (919) 684-7275.
