City & Regional Transit
Local and regional bus transportation is provided off-campus by the Durham Area Transit Authority and Triangle Transit.
DATA - Durham Area Transit Authority
Data buses service a variety of routes in Durham, including to and from Duke's campuses and hospitals. Click here for a map showing all DATA bus routes.
DATA bus fares are inexpensive, and unlimited ride day passes are available. DATA operates from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. every Monday through Saturday and 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sundays and holidays (DATA does not operate on Christmas).
Duke Parking and Transportation Services offers discount city and regional bus passes at a savings of up to 60 percent for students, staff and faculty.
Triangle Transit
Triangle Transit buses service a number of Durham routes, with connections to Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, and other Triangle areas, including RDU Airport. Click here for a map showing all Triangle Transit bus routes.
